Alan has been writing for his entire life. He especially enjoys local, relevant topics, as well as the passing down – and writing down- of those family stories that make each family so interesting. Alan has taught workshops, outlining methods with which to preserve these priceless treasures.
Alan has been published in “Chicken Soup for the Kids Soul”. as well as writing his own book on real estate investing- “Making Money in Real Estate” (Commuter Press, 1999). He writes the weekly column that is the topic for this website- The Midwest Memo, and has been for almost twelve years now. He has also written regular columns regarding real estate, in addition to writing articles as needed for a variety of publications.
Alan has a supportive wife Debbie, who takes care of insurmountable household tasks, three charming children, and two adorable grand-babies.
